Andrés Vilella Weisz
He joined ConoSur Investments in 2020 as Head of Strategy & Trading. In that capacity, he led the trading desk and helping the company’s institutional, corporate, and retail clients to meet their investment objectives through the comprehensive analysis of local and international markets in search of value opportunities.
Before that, he worked as Portfolio Manager for Balanz Capital (Argentine broker-dealer) between 2015 and 2019, Derivates & Risk Analyst for Grupo IRSA (Argentina’s largest real estate group) between 2014 and 2015. Between 2013 and 2014, he served as assistant to Portfolio Manager Compass Group (Argentine asset manager) and Macroeconomic Analyst in Elypsis (Argentine private consulting firm specialized in economics, politics, and finance) between 2011 and 2013.
He has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and a Master of Finance (MFin) from the Torcuato di Tella University (UTdT). He is currently a professor in the Master of Finance at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTdT), as an assistant professor of Futuros, Opciones y Swaps (since 2014) and full professor of Financial Mathematics (since 2015). In 2012, he acted as Research Assistant at UTdT and before that as Practice Assistant of Microeconomics for Economists between 2010 and 2011 at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).
